Call for Stream Proposal

We are kindly inviting you to submit your stream proposals to help shape the agenda for the 7th International Critical Management Studies Conference, Naples 2011.
Submissions of stream proposals are now invited on critical management themes and areas, including but not limited to:

  • organisational dynamics regarding power, control, resistance, identity, diversity, gender, minorities, ethics, emotions, etc.
  • emerging contemporary issues: financial crisis and management theories and practices, globalization, climate change, development, branding, new technologies, supply chains, governance, insecurity, etc.
  • traditional management functions: innovation and entrepreneurship, accounting, information systems, marketing, operations management, industrial relations, etc.

Proposals must be no longer than 1500 words, excluding references, short profiles and contact details for each of the expected three or four international convenors of each stream (one of whom should be identified as the lead convenor for administrative purposes).

  • title
  • name, institution, email address and phone number of all co-organisers
  • a short description of the proposed stream (maximum 1.500 words), to include 4 key words that capture its essence
  • a short bibliographical paragraph related to the proposed topic

Acceptance decisions will be communicated by 30th April 2010. Finalized stream proposals will be posted to this website as soon as these are accepted.

Accepted streams will be asked to provide a complete list of accepted paper abstracts by 9th January 2011. The length of these abstracts and the process of their evaluation is delegated to the stream co-convenors.

As in previous years, convenors are encouraged to publish selections of papers from streams in journal special issues and edited collections. We are also inviting proposals for different events, such as workshops, panel discussions, etc.
